Azucena has worked for institutions and international organizations, multinational companies, universities, and cultural entities in areas such as international relations, justice, technology, medicine, finance, environment, and high-level political processes.

She has provided professional services in numerous countries across Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America, and lived for 40 years in Ireland, where she developed much of her career before relocating to Valencia in 2023, consolidating an international career in complex institutional, corporate, and legal environments.

Academic Background and Teaching Excellence

Specialized training and international university teaching

Her professional activity is supported by a solid academic foundation. She holds a Master’s degree in Conference Interpreting from Dublin City University and a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and History from UNED.

Since 2016, she has been a Senior Lecturer in the Master’s program in Conference Interpreting at the University of Galway (Ireland) and served as an External Examiner for the same program from 2013 to 2015.

She has been a guest lecturer in the Master’s program in Conference Interpreting at the European University of Valencia and has provided specialized training in consecutive interpreting to professional interpreters from the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs as part of international training programs.
