How far in advance should an interpreting service be booked?

For smaller meetings, workshops or sessions with small working groups, bookings can be confirmed at shorter notice, provided that the interpreter still has sufficient time to become familiar with the terminology and context of the event.
Is it necessary to hire two interpreters?
For simultaneous interpreting assignments lasting more than 45 minutes, international quality standards require interpreters to work in pairs. This ensures that concentration and accuracy do not decline, as interpreters alternate every 20–30 minutes to maintain the highest level of performance.
